Caitlyn Jenner's Reality Show Rating Poorly; 'I Am Cait' Viewers Down To Half From Premiere

Caitlyn Jenner's reality show is reportedly rating poorly. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, "I Am Cait" viewers have gone down to half of the number who watched the premiere two weeks ago.

The E! docuseries featuring the transition of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" patriarch Bruce Jenner into a transgender woman had only 1.3 million viewers last Sunday. Caitlyn Jenner's reality show drew 2.7 million viewers when it debuted last July 27.

Aside from documenting the 65-year-old reality star's transformation into a female, it also showed the reactions of her close family and friends.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Caitlyn Jenner's reality show was expected to bring in high ratings given the media frenzy surrounding the former Olympian's admission that she is a woman.

The 65-year-old first came out in an exclusive interview with veteran ABC anchor Diane Sawyer a few months ago. The explosive tell-all reportedly raked in 17 million viewers.

The 1.3 million rating of Caitlyn Jenner's reality show last weekend is reportedly lower than any episode of her family's hit reality series, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

A report from Reuters, the controversial docuseries drew only one-third of the total viewers of ABC's "Celebrity Family Feud," which aired on the same time slot as "I Am Cait."

Expectations were also high given the reported eight million viewers who tuned in to the ESPY Awards last month. Caitlyn Jenner appeared during the said event to receive the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, where she was accompanied by almost her entire family.

Aside from reality stars Kim Kardashian and the other Kardashian-Jenner sisters, Caitlyn Jenner's adult children from her previous marriages were also present during the ESPY Awards. One of which was Brody Jenner, who has been open about how he and his brother Brandon Jenner will not be part of Caitlyn Jenner's reality show.

"I don't think you need to share every single bit of your personal life with the rest of the world," Brody Jenner said, reported by Digital Spy.

"I believe in a little bit of privacy. That's nothing to do with me being unsupportive."

"I think that's great if that's what she wants to do, all the power to her but just because she wants to do that doesn't mean the rest of the family have to jump on board," he clarified.
