Miranda Kerr Reveals Just How Close She Is To Orlando Bloom Despite Split; Model Admits LA Suits Her Family Better

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom might have split but that doesn't stop them from being friends and co-parenting their son, Flynn.

In an interview with Daily Mail, she revealed the level of friendship that she shares with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star.

"Orlando and I are so close - at four this morning, when I was jet-lagged, I was, like, 'OK, does Flynn want to FaceTime?' and Orlando replied, 'Of course!' So then I spoke to my son while he was taking a bath in LA," she said.

This wasn't the first time that Miranda Kerr has spoken about his relationship to Orlando Bloom.

Right after their split in 2013, the supermodel talked to the Daily Mirror that being friends was a conscious decision for them.

"We still love and care for each other deeply," she said. "I didn't go home to Australia recently because Orlando was working six days a week in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway and it's not fair to take Flynn and go without him.

"We're trying to do our best to support each other," she added.

Miranda Kerr said that it's always difficult to go through divorce because that wasn't the plan when two people get married, and she and Orlando Bloom are no different from ordinary couples who went through the same thing.

But they have to set their priorities straight, and that is to put Flynn's concern above all else.

"It's difficult for anyone to go through a separation, whether it's on a public scale or not," she said. "It was important for us to preserve our friendship and the dynamic of being loving parents to Flynn so we dealt with everything honestly."

The supermodel also said that Los Angeles suits her better, after having lived in the Big Apple for a long time. There's also the added advantage that Orlando Bloom lives just across the road from her.

"I loved living in New York - I was there for ten years - but LA suits family; it's better for my son to have a garden," she said.
