One Of Annie Lennox's Daughters Involved In Kayaking Accident! Daughter's Boyfriend Feared Drowned?

One of Annie Lennox's daughters was involved in a kayaking accident in the Hudson River on Saturday.

Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann, Lennox's 22-year-old daughter, was with her boyfriend, Ian Jones, at the time of the accident.

Officials told People that kayak Lennox-Fruchtmann and Jones were riding capsized on Saturday morning outside Poughkeepsie, New York.

According to Dutchess County Sheriff's Captain John Watterson, the two were kayaking in the Hudson River near the Staatsburgh State Historic Site at about 9:30 a.m. when they capsized.

Investigations are still ongoing, but the Poughkeepsie Journal reported that police posits alcohol could have factored in the capsizing, along with the river's strong current. Neither Lennox-Fruchtmann nor Jones were apparently wearing life vests at the time.

"The current in the Hudson River is very strong and we believe the current played a role in the kayak capsizing, and once the two got in the water it was difficult for them to stay together," Watterson told the source cited above.

Apparently, a passing vessel saw Lennox-Fruchtmann, one of Annie Lennox's daughters with ex-husband Radha Raman, and picked her up to safety. Capt. Watterson said the sheriff's office responded to the scene 20 minutes after the accident, at about 9:50 a.m. local time.

Search teams that involved more than 50 people from both Marine patrol and a dive team combed the area on the first day's search, which lasted until 10 p.m. of Saturday. The search resumed at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Lennox-Fruchtmann was evaluated at the scene as soon as she was brought to safety, but she purportedly did not require treatment.

Her 32-year-old boyfriend, on the other hand, has not been as fortunate. News.com.au reported that Jones is still missing after the accident. Officials fear that he may have drowned in the Hudson River.

"We're doing everything we can to find him," Watterson said. "We hope to find him alive and well."

People magazine tried to get a hold of representatives for Annie Lennox for questions about one of her daughters, but the reps did not immediately respond to the request.
