Robert Pattinson's Fiancee FKA Twigs Admits Parents Prepared Her Against Bashing

FKA Twigs admitted that dating Robert Pattinson is far from easy, with all the online bashing that she receives. It's a good thing therefore that her parents has prepared her for a life of bullying when she was just young.

According to Sunday Times, the British singer was attacked on social media right after Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's fans found out that they were dating.

And the attack didn't stop with her, but to her fans as well.

FKA Twigs recounted the time when a photo was shared by a man whose friend was dying of cancer. The patient claimed that she was listening to her songs to cope with her condition.

The singer said, 'They all started attacking her. Within 20 seconds it was just like n*****, monkey, ugly, die b****, all this stuff on his feed. It broke my heart... this lady who is really sick and is probably going to die."

Robert Pattinson's beau narrated that when she was just 10 years old, FKA Twigs received a heart-to-heart talk from her parents, preparing her for what lies ahead.

"Sometimes people are going to treat you differently because of the color of your skin," she said. "Sometimes you're going to have to work 10 times harder than somebody else to get the same appreciation, but never use it as an excuse. I agree with that."

In her hometown of Gloucestershire, she was the only one of color in her class.

"I was very conscious of it. I was half-Jamaican, but I didn't understand that side of myself. Western society tells you if you're blonde, you're beautiful; if you have green eyes, you're beautiful; if you have fair skin, you're beautiful," she said.

Previously, FKA Twigs said that dating Robert Pattinson can be tough but she weighed her happiness with the pain and still counts herself lucky for being with the "Twilight" star.
