Annie Lennox's Daughter Rescued After Kayak Accident; Boyfriend Still Missing According To Authorities

Singer Annie Lennox's daughter Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann was rescued by authorities after a freak kayak accident with her boyfriend last weekend.

Last Saturday, Annie Lennox's 22-year-old daughter Tali and her 32-year-old boyfriend Ian Jones were kayaking in Hudson River near the Staatsburgh State Historic Site. Their boat reportedly capsized at about 9:30 a.m. local time, with the couple going into the water but was unfortunately separated due to strong currents.

Officials began its investigation at 9:50 a.m but was shortly suspended due to the river's condition.

Annie Lennox's daughter Tali was rescued by a passing vessel but her boyfriend was still not located, E! Online said in a report.

Authorities said that after Tali was rescued, it was confirmed that the couple went kayaking without wearing life preservers.

The New York State Police helicopter and other officers are still conducting search operation on foots and in boats to find Ian Jones.

The river's strong current also makes the search operations more difficult, officials said.

Meanwhile, initial investigation said that there is no foul play in the incident. However, Captain John Watterson of the Dutchess Country Sherriff's Office said that "alcohol may have played a role" in the accident of Annie Lennox's daughter.

Aside from that, strong currents had also occurred over the weekend, that might have triggered the incident, USA Today reported.

Tali and her boyfriend have always been vocal towards their affection to each other.

In their social media accounts, Ian posted an Instagram photo of him kissing Tali's forehead with the caption, "I am coming home to you @Talilennox

Ian, who was described by police as a white male with dark hair, stand 6 feet and 3 inches tall. He was said to have been wearing a pair of jeans and a denim shirt at the day of the accident.
