Nikki Reed Behind Ian Somerhalder's Absence At Teens Choice Awards? Scared Of His And Nina Dobrev's 'The Vampire Diaries' Kiss?

Nikki Reed allegedly banned Ian Somerhalder to attend the 2015 Teen Choice Awards for fear of the "The Vampire Diaries" actor locking lips with ex, Nina Dobrev, during the Best Kiss category.

One of the highlights of the Teen Choice Awards was for the celebrities who win the Best Kiss award to also lock lips on stage.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, "Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder were noticeably absent from the 2015 Teen Choice Awards."

"Perhaps the couple feared bumping into Ian's ex-lover, Nina? All three claim there is no tension or bad blood after Nikki and Ian's sprint to the alter after Somerhalder's break up with Dobrev. But, multiple rumors claim there are repeated issues of jealousy and battles for the spotlight," it said.

But Nina Dobrev certainly wasn't talking about Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder during her speech at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards after winning the Choice TV Actress in Sci-Fi or Fantasy category for her role as Elena in "The Vampire Diaries."

"The last few months have been a big change for me. Change. It's a scary word, or I used to think that, because it meant new beginnings. New beginnings with a future that was unknown," she said.

Nina Dobrev also formally said goodbey to "The Vampire Diaries" after multiple reports have surfaced that Elena is coming back to Mystic Falls. The rumors were buttressed by Nikki Reed's husband, Ian Somerhalder, himself in a previous interview where he said that Elena was not killed off in the series for a reason.

Nina Dobrev continued, referencing her exit from "The Vampire Diaries," "Change is necessary. Necessary for you to grow up and learn and to better yourself, becauase everything in life comes to an end."

"As this chapter of my life comes to an end, I look back at it with a grateful heart, and I smile, because just like my character Elena, I started the show as a young girl, and together we grew up. We've grown up and over the last six years we've become women."
