'Major Crimes' Season 4 Running For 23 Episodes; Andy And Sharon Spark Romance

"Major Crimes" season 4 will have extra episodes for the fans to enjoy as Andy and Sharon are reportedly going to develop feelings for each other, according to the spoilers in the show.

TVLine has reported that there's going to be a change in the number of episodes for the hit TV show this season.

"TNT has ordered an additional five episodes of Major Crimes, TVLine has learned, bringing its Season 4 total to 23, the largest in the procedural's history," it said. "Seasons 2 and 3 each had 19 episodes, while the series' freshman outing consisted of 10."

The article continued that the new development "should come as a bit of a relief to fans concerned about the show's future."

Despite the extended run for season 4, the network has not announced that it's going to pick up "Major Crimes" for a fifth season.

The summer finale of "Major Crimes" actually generated 4.5 million total viewers, good for second place in terms of the most watched episode for cable TV.

"The episode also won the night as the most watched scripted cable program, an honor it has held for its entire 10-week run," noted one website.

That episode was also two million more than the total viewers of "The Last Ship," which was recently renewed by TNT.

According to "Major Crimes" season 4 spoilers from Ecumenical News, James Duff said that Sharon will open up more to Andy resulting to romance between the two.

"One day, this season, at work, Sharon gave the division a directive, and she happened to look up and caught Andy just smiling at her, and something in her heart turned naturally," the spoilers dished by the creator said.

Watch out for more spoilers for "Major Crimes" season 4 as the show returns on TNT on Nov. 2.
