Miley Cyrus Defends Taylor Swift, Slams Nicki Minaj Over MTV VMA Twitter Feud Following Undercover Jimmy Kimmel Appearance [NEWS]

Miley Cyrus seems to have sided with Taylor Swift against Nicki Minaj in their Twitter feud over the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. 

The "Wrecking Ball" singer revealed during a recent interview that she feels the "Anaconda" singer was "not very polite" when responding to news that Swift received a nomination for the MTV VMA. She made the remarks shortly after going undercover during a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live and polling fans about their thoughts about her career.  

Here's what Cyrus said about the situation:

"I didn't follow it. You know what I always say? Not that this is jealousy, but jealousy does the opposite of what you want it to-that's a yoga mantra. People forget that the choices that they make and how they treat people in life affect you in a really big way. If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement. But I don't respect your statement because of the anger that came with it."

"And it's not anger like, 'Guys, I'm frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.' You made it about you. Not to sound like a bitch, but that's like, 'Eh, I didn't get my VMA'...If you want to make it about race, there's a way you could do that. But don't make it just about yourself. Say: 'This is the reason why I think it's important to be nominated. There's girls everywhere with this body type.'"

"What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It's not very polite."

Cyrus, who is currently dating Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell, is set to host the MTV VMA held on Aug. 30. 

Maxwell revealed during a recent interview how she met her new lover. The Victoria's Secret model also touched on the intricacies of their relationship and how they are faring out. 

"We met through mutual friends via Instagram, which is where Cheyne [Thomas] contacted me about taking some photos," Maxwell told V Magazine. 

"It's been a trip hanging out and see a little of their world. Felt very organic and right."

Cyrus is 22 years old.
