Dream Team? Jennifer Lawrence And Amy Schumer Plan To Co-Star As Sisters In Upcoming Movie

This may be the dream team of all dream teams: Jennifer Lawrence confirmed to The New York Times that she and Amy Schumer are writing a screenplay together, and they plan to co-star as sisters. We may just be on the wings of the comedy of the century.

"Amy and I were creatively made for each other," Jennifer Lawrence said. "We have different flavors. It's been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up."

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jennifer Lawrence said they are working with Amy Schumer's sister, Kim, who also worked on "Trainwreck."

In fact, Amy and Jen became friends after Lawrence saw "Trainwreck" and reached out to the comedienne.

"I emailed her after I saw 'Trainwreck' and said, 'I don't know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I'm in love with you,'" Lawrence said. "We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting."

According to the Christian Post, they are already 100 pages into the script. Lawrence admitted that the words "just flowed out of us," and that it's nearing its completion phase.

And guess who wants to play their mom in the movie? Bette Midler!

She wrote on Twitter: "Amy Schumer & Jennifer Lawrence are co-writing a screenplay about sisters. Hmm, who could play their mother? She'd have to be DIVINE!"
