Louis Tomlinson News: One Direction Star's Solo Career In Place As He Heads To 'X Factor' Next Year?

One Direction has been reported to be taking a break for one year and news has it that Louis Tomlinson already has his solo career plotted out during that span.

Simon Cowell told The Mirror that Louis Tomlinson has approached him about the possibility of joining the "X Factor."

"Going forward, one of these guys will do one of these shows with us. Louis in particular wants to and he'd be very good, but in terms of girls, it was really Rita that we wanted - and thank God we got her," he said.

For this season of "X Factor," it's highly unlikely that the One Direction hottie will be joining the panel of judges. But Louis Tomlinson could appear as a guest judge during the screening process at the judges' houses.

Meanwhile, recent news reveal that the One Direction members had a mini-reunion as Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan attended Liam Payne's birthday at the Off the Wagon bar in New York City over the weekend.

"It looks like Tomlinson was having so much fun that he even had a costume change," said E! News. "Photogs caught the sexy star sporting a tight black t-shirt, black jeans and black and white sneakers."

It was earlier reported that the One Direction members will attempt solo careers while the group is on a break.

According to the tabloid The Sun, the decision to break up One Direction was a mutual one for the four members.

"The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband," the article said. "They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision."

Zayn Malik already left One Direction following the cheating rumors that threatened his engagement with Little Mix star Perrie Edwards. Eventually, the pair split up and Malik announced his plans to pursue a solo career.

With news that Louis Tomlinson has set his eyes on "X Factor," it would not be a surprise if the other One Directioners take their own solo place in the industry.
