Calvin Harris Guarded Taylor Swift On 'Wildest Dreams' Video With Scott Eastwood?

Calvin Harris was apparently not that far away when Taylor Swift got close to Scott Eastwood for her "Wildest Dreams" music video.

As reported by E! Online, a fan theory on social media is claiming that the DJ had a cameo of sorts on his lady love's new music video.

The Tumblr post showed a screenshot of the lion from the music video along with a screengrab as well of the DJ's latest profile picture on his Instagram account. Both lions on them had a striking resemblance making everyone think it might be connected.

A report on MTV dissected the fan theory and explained what the lion represents.

In the "Wildest Dreams" video, a lion could be seen behind the crew as Taylor Swift and Scott Eastwood's characters made out. When everything turned sour, the lion was seen again closely watching over Swift as she sang her heart out. Citing the fan theory, the report said Calvin Harris represented the lion showing "love and protection" on the singer.

Another report though felt that the lion reference dug deeper and claimed it was a tribute to Cecil The Lion, who was hunted and killed recently.

With Eastwood and Swift showing great chemistry for the music video, reports surfaced and wondered if Harris should be watching over as well in real life as told on Inquisitr. But in an item on Hollywood Life, a source revealed how the DJ felt about the video.

"Calvin isn't the jealous type," the source revealed. "He trusts Taylor 100%. He actually gave her the thumbs up with her casting choice."

"Calvin wasn't on the set, but he did meet Scott with Taylor and thinks he's cool," the source added.

Eastwood also seemed to have only friendship in mind with Swift.

"Amazing working with @taylorswift13," he tweeted. "I'm proud to call you a true friend."

Aside from the Harris reference, it was also mentioned in a Hollywood Life report that there were other "easter eggs" on Swift's latest music video. Among them, scenes referring to her "1989" album, a tribute to her grandparents as well as some connection of the new video to her past ones.
