Nicole Kidman And Husband Keith Urban Prefer Living In Nashville, Marriage Stronger By Staying Out Of Hollywood?

Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban said they prefer to live in Nashville, making it seem like their marriage is stronger as they stay out of Hollywood.

According to a report from NDTV, Nicole Kidman said she and her husband Keith Urban never looked back when they moved to Nashville to start a family nine years ago.

"I don't miss the Hollywood life, definitely not," she said.

"I don't think I've ever been a part of that. If you're committed to a fame path, that's a whole different thing."

"I still put on a gown and go on the red carpet, and that's when you're all for a moment circling each other," she casually added, referring to occasionally going on events solely for work.

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, Keith Urban was asked about how he and his wife have been staying happily married amid all the recent celebrity breakups. 

"It's our priority, you know?" the country star said about his marriage.

"It's what we love to do more than anything in the world."

Huffington Post also reported about how Nicole Kidman helped her husband when Keith Urban battled with drug and alcohol addiction. The musician even checked into a rehabilitation facility soon after they moved to Nashville.

"I've learned so much since getting married," Keith Urban said.

"I like where Nic and I are right now and I like where I am in my life and whatever that journey was to get me to here, I wouldn't want to change any of that."

Although the two are doing well in Nashville and away from the daily stress of Hollywood, Keith Urban said he has a lot of regrets about not being sober in the early years of their marriage. However, he believes that those challenges only made their union stronger.

"There were times early on when I wished I would have been sober and in recovery and everything when I met Nic and I wasn't," he said.

"But the other way to look at it, which is a much better way and so true, is that we've been able to build our relationship with that."

"We've been able to build that together. I think it's given us a really powerful foundation," he added.

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban have two children together: four-year-old Faith and seven-year-old Sunday.
