Ciara And Future, Jr. Doing Fine Without Baby Daddy? Singer Talks About Son Possibly Becoming A Musician

Ciara and Future Jr. seem to be doing fine without baby daddy, ex-fiance and rapper Future. In an interview with British newspaper Metro, the "I Bet" singer talked about her son possibly becoming a musician when he grows up.

"Show business is a tough world," she said.

"Ideally I wouldn't want him to do it, but if his heart desires it then I'll support him."

"I'll support him with whatever his heart desires as long as it's something positive and productive," Ciara said about her firstborn.

The R&B star admitted that her own mother had doubts when she decided to get in the entertainment industry. The lessons that they learned seem to help Ciara and Future, Jr. as they face life without the child's father, who got dumped amid cheating rumors.

"My mom was hesitant about me being in music but she gave me room to figure it out," she shared.

"It's important to allow your kids to pursue their dreams. You don't want someone to wish they could have achieved something but were forced to do something else."

The closeness between Ciara and her son Future, Jr. is evident in her upcoming new song, "I Got You."

According to a report from E! Online, the songstress dedicated the track to her one-year-old child.

"It was one of those songs that was so necessary," Ciara said about the song, which samples the old lullaby "Hush, Little Baby."

"I'm living in that moment of, you know, being a new mom and so, it was really important to me to have something that kind of spoke to that, that really spoke to the heart of that and to the true meaning of what it means to have my son."

"It was kind of the perfect way to complete my album and to complete my story," she explained.

Even though Ciara eventually ended up parting ways with her son's father, the singer said that being a mother has changed her tremendously.

"It's honestly been the best thing that's happened to my life," Ciara gushed.

"It's been so much fun. My son is a ball of joy and he's getting funnier and funnier by the day."
