Ian Somerhalder Not Over Nina Dobrev? Actor Worries About Ex After 'The Vampire Diaries' Exit

It looks like Ian Somerhalder still feels for ex Nina Dobrev as Nikki Reed's husband is allegedly worried about following the actress' "The Vampire Diaries" exit.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Ian Somerhalder is getting more concerned about his career post-"TVD" after finding out about the struggle of his ex Nina Dobrev to find work.

"Ian has a front row seat to his ex-girlfriend and former costar's post 'The Vampire Diaries' movie career flop, and as speculation that 'The Vampire Diaries' will end after Dobrev's departure heats up, Somerhalder is trying to find work after TVD," it said.

The future of "The Vampire Diaries," just like any other TV shows, will be based upon ratings and Nina Dobrev's exit from the show will reportedly affect how well the audience will receive the series this season.

"Since Nina Dobrev quit, fans and critics have seriously questioned whether or not the show can enjoy the same success with Nina's character, Elena," it added.

Nina Dobrev is still being linked to Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed even after the two have tied the knot in a simple ceremony in April this year. It was widely rumored that the actress' exit from "The Vampire Diaries" was prompted by jealousy and tension on the set because her ex-boyfriend shacked up with her former friend.

Nevertheless, Ian Somerhalder seemed happy with Nikki Reed and the couple is already trying to have a baby.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 36-year-old actor said that he's ready to be a father.

"You know, it's all about practice... It's not practice makes perfect - it's perfect practice," he said. "It's the most incredible thing to be happy and secure in something. It's a pretty crazy time and place to bring a child into this turbulent and insane world -- but I really can't wait to do it and really just love it."
