Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger Divorce Aftermath: ‘Hello Kitty’ Singer ‘Doing OK’
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger's marriage has been confirmed to be heading to divorce after she officially announced their separation. According to a report, the "Hello Kitty" singer is "doing ok" following the breakup.
Canadian pop rock princess Avril Lavigne is moving on from her divorce with Chad Kroeger, a source from E! Online said.
"Honestly, she's doing ok. This has been in the works for awhile, but they needed some time to figure out how to break the news," the insider told.
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger's divorce was reportedly due to their differences.
"Chad is being supportive. At the end of the day, they just didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things... Their friends and their social circles never really mixed," the insider added.
In an Instagram post, the "Complicated" singer announced her separation with the Nickelback front man saying, "It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today,"
"Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you for your support," the singer added, along with a photo of them on their wedding day.
Aside from dealing with her divorce to Chad Kroeger, Avril Lavigne is facing another ordeal as she is still recovering from Lyme disease, which she has been diagnosed with last year, Business Standard said.
"Avril is still sick, so she's not working much - just here and there. It's been a tough year. But these days, she's living in LA and has a very close, supportive group of friends. She's focused on her recovery but she knows it's going to take time," the source said.
Before the divorce announcement, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have been married for two years. The ex-couple hit it off when they got together for an album.
Prior to getting hitched to Chad Kroeger, Avril Lavigne was first married to Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley, Hollywood Life said.
