Ellie Goulding Denies 'On My Mind' Is A Diss Track About Ex-Boyfriend Ed Sheeran!

Ellie Goulding dropped "On My Mind" but the song gained attention for the wrong reason as rumors started that it was a diss towards former boyfriend Ed Sheeran.

Part of the lyrics of "On My Mind" read, "I always hear, always hear them talking/Talking 'bout a girl, 'bout a girl with money/Saying that I hurt you but I still don't get it/You didn't love me, no, not really/Wait, I could have really liked you/I'll bet, I'll bet that's why I keep thinking about you/It's a shame, you said I was good/So I poured it down, so I poured it down."

But Ellie Goulding denied that "On My Mind" is about her ex-boyfriend Ed Sheeran.

In an interview with MTV she said, "This song, we had so much fun writing it, it just comes back to that basic thing of having that person just constantly stuck in our heads."

"I'm sorry to all the people that want it to be about someone - it's not, it's like a myth," Ellie Goulding said on suggestion that "On My Mind" was about former boyfriend Ed Sheeran.

"I like guys with tattoos, my boyfriend has tattoos...but I don't mind. People can read into it however they want. It's fun to do that, I would do that too," she added.

Ed Sheeran previously released a diss song, titled "Don't," against Ellie Goulding over rumors that she hooked up with One Direction's Niall Horan while they still together.

Part of the song says, "I never saw him as a threat/Till you disappeared with him to have sex."

The singer/songwriter might have confirmed the cheating incident in an interview with Billboard as he said, without naming any names, "If I show courtesy and respect to someone, I expect to receive it. When we're in the same hotel, and I'm downstairs at my party and you're upstairs doing that, that's disrespectful."
