Nicole Richie Joel Madden Separation Rumors Denied, Couple Continues To Show United Front!

Daddy Lionel Richie is defending Nicole Richie and Joel Madden from the incessant divorce rumors about the couple.

In an interview with E! News, the singer made it clear once and for all that the couple were not splitting up amid the rumors.

"I'm going to set the record straight," the singer said. "They are so happy." 

Back in June, he also cleared up news about the two reportedly splitting up as the pair continue to keep mum about it.

"'Aren't you going to clear [the rumours] up?' I asked Nicole. 'Nah, it's okay,' she said," the older Richie told Hello! magazine in June.

"She's a seasoned Richie," he added. "But, as I said to Nicole, 'Rumour you don't worry about. It's when they print something and it's true you need to worry.'"

Rumors of a Nicole Richie Joel Madden divorce has been coming up in the past months. In April, Radar Online reported that the couple were fighting and nearing split.

"They've been spending more time apart because all they do is fight when they're together," an In Touch insider said as quoted by the source above. "Nicole can be very forceful when she doesn't get her way, and Joel doesn't respond well to that."

"If it wasn't for the kids, they'd be divorced already," the insider added. "Nicole's trying to hang on for their sake, but she's at her breaking point."

In May, the rumors escalated further when moving vans were seen outside their home as Entertainment Tonight reported. It was later clarified that the couple were moving out of their old home together to transfer to another place.

Despite the rumors, the couple continued to show a united front without addressing the gossip. More than a week ago as told by Mail Online, the pair were all loved up as they were seen spending some quality time with their kids in Disneyland. A day ago, Joel Madden also sent some love to Nicole Richie on Instagram for her birthday.
