Yankees Tickets Sex Line: Old Phone Number For Tix Now For Something Else, Claims To Be America's Hottest Talk Line

The New York Post reports a Yankees Tickets sex line that seems to be dedicated to help fans “score” off the field.

The toll-free number once used by the Bronx Bombers now belongs to a sex line where a hot female voice guides caller through prompts, seemingly designed to help them experience some front-row action through voice.

A quick Google search for “Yankees box office phone number” will yield an old Yankees.com web page with the number 800-913-9793, which is now a sex line.

From the Post's report, the recording says, “Welcome to America’s hottest talk line. Guys, hot ladies are waiting to talk to you. Press 2 to connect free now.”

The chat line connects callers “18 and over” for some sexy chats, anonymous hook-ups and even dates. Ladies can use the service for free, while the guys can get a five-minute trial at no cost.

Callers are urged to leave recorded greetings with specifics about “what makes you desirable” and to “call whenever you’re in the mood.”

Users are then able to enter a PIN code that connects them with people for phone sex and even possible casual encounters.

The Yankees’ official site listed the number that leads to a sex line under a blue banner reading, “A timeless legacy.”

A spokeswoman for the Yankees that the Post reached out to said the team stopped using the toll-free number in early 2009 and that the whole issue with the sex line and all is an internet quirk.

Alice McGillion, spokeswoman for the Yankees said, “It’s not a Yankee issue. It’s an idiosyncratic thing with Google.”

McGillion said that callers have used the temporary 800 number for seat relocations in 2008 and 2009. The team has no control over what happens once another company takes the number for their own use.

It’s not the first time the sex-chat hot line has obtained a widely-used toll-free number. In February, readers of the newspaper The Sacramento Bee discovered that “America’s Hottest Talk Line” had taken over a number formerly used for subscription sign-ups, according to California TV station KCRA.

The same sex line has also used a former hot line for domestic-violence victims in Florida, according to police in the state as reported by a Florida news station.
