Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth's characters may have not ended together in "The Hunger Games" trilogy. But recent rumors have surfaced that something may be brewing for the pair in real life just weeks after Miley Cyrus admitted that she's still close with the Australian actor.
As reported by Celeb Dirty Laundry, the Oscar-winning actress purportedly has been sharing nightly calls with the Australian actor every chance she's got.
"Lots of people were convinced they would wind up together, and they still could!" an insider told OK! magazine as quoted by the source above. "Jen has been calling Liam all the time, especially at night."
The report also said that many "The Hunger Games" fans have been wanting the pair to end up together in real life but they were always dating someone else and have not had the chance to get close.
In a report on Hollywood Life, it was mentioned that dating rumors about "The Hunger Games" stars also surfaced last year. The duo apparently got close when Lawrence was able to confide in Hemsworth after getting involved in a "nude photo scandal."

"Me and Liam are still so close and we love each other and they make it like there is negativity," the "Wrecking Ball" singer explained to Elle as cited by Her.
It appeared only though as if the "Wrecking Ball" singer was talking about her relationship with the Australian actor as friends after their split. The pair met when they worked together on "The Last Song" and even got engaged. They split in 2013.
Though neither Lawrence nor Hemsworth addressed the rumors about them in the past, the actor revealed in 2014 that the Oscar-winning actress has been a very good friend to him.
"Being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now," Liam Hemsworth said about Lawrence after his split with Miley Cyrus as cited by Mail Online. "I'm much happier...I'm more comfortable in my own skin than I've ever been. For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment."
