Kathryn Erbe Returns To Law and Order: SVU For Show’s Season Finale

Kathryn Erbe returns to Law and Order: SVU reprising her role as Alexandra Eames in the show's season finale airing May 8.

Law and Order fans first met Kathryn Erbe in the spin off Criminal Intent, which first aired in 2001 lasting until 2011. Erbe starred along side Vincent D'Oonfrio as the lead detectives for New York City's major case squad.

Kathryn Erbe guest starred on SVU in an episode that aired back in October 2012. Erbe played her Criminal Intent character Eames, now working as an agent for homeland security.

In the October episode the story focused on a sex-trafficking case turned terrorist plot. Erbe's character Eames worked with the SUV detectives to solve the case and prevent a terrorist attack.

According to TVLine.com SUV star Ice-T was the one who suggested Kathryn Erbe return to the show. TVLine.com reports the episode will focus on something from past of Ice-T's character, Fin.

Warren Leight is the executive producer of SVU, he told TVLine.com, "There is a lot of bad blood in Fin's past."

Leight said Ice-T told him, "The fans really like it when we're [meaning the main characters] in harm's way. And don't forget, I used to be a narcotics officer. There's got to be a lot of people who want me dead."

Kathryn Erbe returns for the final episode of the 14th season of Law and Order: SVU. It is likely the show will be picked up by NBC for a 15th season. The original Law and Order was on the air for 20-years.
