As a tribute for Father's day, let's give time to appreciate the efforts and love that these parents dedicate to raise their children, which is the reason why we have incredible sets of K-pop idols that gives us strength today. 

These lists consist of K-pop idols who were raised solely by their father, as well as those K-pop idols who were raised by single mothers who served as a father at the same time. These parents made sure to double their love and care for their children to make sure that they will grow up well, and indeed, they've raised idols that are respected by several people and became the role model of the current youth. 

GUGUDAN Kim Sejeong

Sejeong's parents divorced when she was still a child. In her junior high school, Sejeong claimed she had never met or communicated with her father ever since then. Her older brother was raised by her mother alone with a difficult situation as she has to work so hard and land various jobs to support Sejeong and her brother. However, Sejeong grew up really well, and it is evident to every of her smile. 

Kang Daniel

The Nation's Center was born as an only child. Daniel grew up and raised by a mother who became a single parent after divorcing his father. Daniel had a chance to speak up about his life and admitted he had always lived a difficult life and experienced severe financial problems. Despite being a child who wanted to continue b-boying in his school days, Kang Daniel had the willingness to drop out of school because of the high cost of education. 

However, his mother seems to always cheer and support him, as she's always seen with the idol in each of his schedules. 

Girls' Generation Yoona

Besides being a part of the legendary girl group, Yoona and her sister were raised alone by a father who was so really praiseworthy. Despite being raised by a father, Yoona never felt that she doesn't have a mother while growing up. Yoona never shared any story then about her biological mother because she didn't have enough meaningful memories with her in the first place.

Sunmi

When Sunmi was a fourth-grader, she decided to become a celebrity, not because she had a passion for performing, but also because she believed it is the fastest way to earn. Sunmi's father, who had been raising Sunmi and her two brothers as a single parent, fell sick with tuberculosis and had to be hospitalized. To afford treatment payments, at 12 years old, she decided to go for an audition and start her career. 

In this case, Sunmi has to commute from work to home and even decided to serve as a parent to his two brothers. You did well, Sunmi!

GOT7 Bambam

The group's second maknae, Bambam, has a mother who was forced to raise her son alone because of his husband's passing away due to illness. Bambam was only three years old, and his mother deserves to be called a tough woman for being able to raise four children and given proper education to all of them. 

It is also noticeable that Bambam has huge respect for women; one reason why we should appreciate his parent more. 

Wonder Girls Ahn Sohee

Ahn Sohee lived along with her father and sister for as young as four years old. With her parents' divorce, Ahn Sohee's life also becomes difficult, most specifically when her father lost his job. Before she became known to the public, she even once helped her father to deliver milk around the house to help meet the needs of the family. Their difficulties didn't stop Sohee, though, to aim for a dream. 

SHINee Jonghyun

The late idol grew up really well with just his mother and older sister. You can confirm that Mama Kim filled Jonghyun with so much love as he grew as a man of respect, a person who cares for others and is really selfless. Before leaving the physical world, he had healed so many wounds of his fans through his words and music, and affirm them that they are doing well.

Jonghyun rarely spoke about his father, and many fans do not know what happened to him. When it came to his personal life, Jonghyun was often private. But, he once described his father as someone who is strict when you meet him.

WINNER Seungyoon

His mother raised the leader of YG Entertainment's WINNER Seungyoon as his parents divorced when he was young. As an only child, he learned to play the guitar in the eighth grade. Since then, he decided to pursue his dreams as an artist and became a contestant on Mnet's singing contest Superstar K2, ending up in fourth place.
