As the competition in the K-pop industry gets bigger, several K-pop idols and groups are experimenting with genres and choreographies that they can truly call their own. Several K-pop songs appear to have the an extreme choreography, causing K-pop fans to open a discussion about the real hardest K-pop dance.

Along with this, a skilled dancer then list down her own list K-pop songs that are hard to dance, providing insights and short reviews why it is considered to be the "hardest."

SUNMI’s 24 Hours

The legendary Sunmi released a performance video of 24 Hours in August 2013. And this has been given so many impressions as one of the hardest dances to cover. According to the critique, this song is deceivingly tricky. It may look easy in the human eye; however, there are many awkward “traps” in the song, which meant that it would look utterly foolish unless you do it right.

SEVENTEEN’s Don’t Wanna Cry

SEVENTEEN are also a group of fantastic performers that not everyone is a dancer, but all of them look like one. And that is an excellent example of teamwork. This 12-membered group has been dubbed as “Kings of Synchronization” in today’s generation, and we could never agree more. Don’t Wanna Cry is the song that helped Seventeen in the music scene. This is beautifully choreographed by Hoshi, himself, which makes it incredibly amazing how talented this group is. And of course, dancers would consider this hard because of the popping it has.

TAEMIN’s Move

Taemin has earned the name of “crème de la crème” of all hard choreographies, and that is from his solo song “Move.” Many K-Pop idols, of course, if you still don’t know, have covered this dance, and even professionals also found this song in great difficulty because of the amount of body control you need.

NCT U’s The 7th Sense

NCT U would also never miss this list for being a fantastic unit with a powerful choreography. In 2016, NCT U released a performance video of “The 7th Sense,” which is described that from start to finish, it is tough. Even the Produce X Trainees, who have to go through evaluation with this song, it is a song that they want to avoid for how hard it is to digest. It also has a strange concept that it is hard to communicate with through dance.

RED VELVET’s Be Natural

Dancers would call this dance made by Red Velvet just because they performed this in heels. And it is also hard to dance elegantly in a chair, especially during an ab workout, just like in this video released by the group. It shows how talented and incredibly sexy Red Velvet is when it comes to performing, and this song just proved it so much.

ATEEZ’s Hala Hala

A new rookie group that specializes in dance is just an ATEEZ thing. They have always been showing completely surprising dance choreographies, and Hala Hala is one of them. They have also demonstrated how the group looks incredible as they perform all together, which makes the audience excited when they see them perform.

SHINEE’s Lucifer

The OG Kings of K-Pop is also here for having such a legendary choreography that is Lucifer. SHINEE has even proved that there is a group that can match Boa’s dance skills in SM Entertainment. This was also established as the pioneers of having hard choreography to become mainstream in K-Pop.

BTS’ Blood Sweat and Tears

The WINGS era is just the best gift for every BTS ARMY there is. The concept, the storyline, the clothes, the stage, and of course, the fantastic title track and its choreography. This is also considered as one of the hardest BTS Choreography ever made along with other dances the group has released. Blood, Sweat, and Tears have a unique formation during the chorus where members travel from one position to another, and at the same time, the synchronization of their dance steps. Dancers would even say that it is tough to make a group look cohesive when formations change in this time of pattern.
