Floyd Mayweather Bet $5.9 Million On Miami Heat Winning NBA Playoffs: Heavyweight Boxer Made Almost $4 Million From 46 Sports Bets In Less Than Two Years

Floyd Mayweather reportedly bet $5.9 million on the Miami Heat before Monday night's NBA Playoff game against the Indiana Pacers, marking over $4 million in profits the heavyweight boxer has made from 47 bets in less than two years, if the rumor is true.

According to Grantland.com writer Dermot Hunt, between August 2010 and February 2012 Floyd Mayweather tweeted photos of 46 betting slips totaling nearly $3.9 million in wagers - the boxer won all 46, making a profit of $3,938,722.87.

While Floyd Mayweather's favorable bets have earned him a hefty chunk of change in a short period of time, many of his fans are left wondering if he actually received the $5.9 million that he allegedly bet on the Miami Heat, continuing his lucky streak.

Vegas Gambling Stream posted a tweet on Monday morning that said "... Floyd Mayweather has laid over $5,900,000 on Heat -7 tonight in Vegas," but many speculate the legitimacy of the scoop, as Mayweather has not announced any wins.

Both Floyd Mayweather and Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, have yet to verify the report, according to Yahoo! Sports.

But if Mayweather did win the $5.9 million after betting on the Miami Heat, then the heavyweight boxer would surpass the $4 million profit mark.

"That would surprise me [he got down such a big bet in Las Vegas], but you never know," Lorenzo Fertitta, a Las Vegas casino owner, told Yahoo! Sports.

"I don't [think it's true]. The only place that gave him sizeable wagers was Cantor [Gaming] and I've heard they cut many players way back. I don't think if he bet that at every book in town he could get that much, and we haven't taken anything here."
