Man With Micropenis Discovers He’s A Woman: Doctors Say 66-Year-Old Chinese Man Has Ovaries, But Does Not Have Testicles

A 66-year-old man in China who simply thought he had an unusually tiny penis before discovering that he was actually a woman after a doctor's visit is said to have ovaries, but not testicles, according to Gawker.

The patient, whose name has not been released, was treated at a Hong Kong hospital after experiencing what he thought was a swelling in his abdomen, according to a case report published by the Hong Kong Medical Journal.

But after doctors examined him, they realized that what he thought was abdominal pain was in fact pain caused by a cyst on one of his ovaries.

Strangely enough, doctors also reported that the man with the Micropenis had did not have any testicles, according to the Hong Kong Medical Journal.

Doctors said the man suffered from Turner Syndrome, a chromosomal abnormality, coupled with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), a genetic disorder, which combined give him the appearance of a man with the internal organs of a woman.

"His late presentation was recognised due to his exceptionally short stature and persistent sexual ambiguity," the care report published by the Hong Kong Medical Journal read.

"His condition was only brought to medical attention as he developed a huge abdominal mass, which later turned out to be a benign ovarian mucinous cyst."

The man, who is 4'5'' tall and bearded, will undergo male hormone replacement therapy, according to Gawker. He was treated at Kwong Wah Hospital, one of Hong Kong's most developed medical facilities with an extensive research unit.
