BTS' 'Butter' Listed in Rolling Stone India's 'Top 100 Songs of 2021'

On December 22, the Rolling Stone India released its "Top 100 Songs of 2021" and BTS made the list with their hit song "Butter," released on May 21.

In the current list, from No. 20 to No. 40, BTS is the only K-pop act to make it as they clinched the 30th spot.

The Rolling Stone India stated that "Butter" is an insanely catchy pop record. The song stayed at most world charts' first spot this year for the longest time among any other singles.

The music media stated that BTS has found the right formula to balance their K-pop origins with their global boy-band superstar status. Moreover, the Rolling Stone India even compared BTS with Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars with their retro-pop genre track.

The song has the vibe that makes every generation want to get up and dance and sing along and it is a remarkable feat, especially with the generation of pop today.

BTS' 'Butter' Receives a Platinum Certification

BTS received a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan with their digital single "Butter."

The Japanese association revealed the list of "Platinum" certified works in November and it showed that BTS' "Butter" has acquired a "Platinum" certification.

Previously, BTS received "Platinum" and "Gold" certifications in the download category for "Dynamite" and "Permission to Dance" last February and September, respectively.

In July, BTS received the Recording Industry Association of Japan "Platinum" certification in the album category with their single "Butter," it exceeded 250,000 copies in cumulative shipment.

Meanwhile the Japanese album, "BTS, THE BEST," surpassed 1 million cumulative shipments and it got the "million" certification.

The title song "DNA," along with "Permission to Dance," and "LOVE YOURSELF: 'Her" entered the streaming sector as well as the album sector. The songs surpassed 100 million downloads and streams and acquired the RIAJ's "Platinum" certification.

BTS Drops 'Butter' Holiday Dance Choreography Video

BTS released a choreography video for the holiday remix version of their hit song, "Butter."

On December 23, BTS uploaded a choreography video of the holiday remix version of "Butter" on their official YouTube channel, and is now receiving warm response from fans around the world.

Wearing Christmas clothes suitable for the warm atmosphere of the "Butter" holiday remix, BTS performed the dynamic choreography using various props like headbands and paper firecrackers. A wall decorated with balloons with the words "Happy Holiday" can be seen in the background. 

The Bangtan Boys released a holiday remix of "Butter" with gratitude for the fans' never-ending support for them. With the English single, they topped the Billboard main single chart "Hot 100" for a record of 10 times, and they won the "Artist of the Year" award at the "2021 American Music Awards." 

The holiday remix of "Butter" is a carol pop genre, and viewers can feel the new charm of "Butter" by adding an exciting atmosphere to the lightness of the original song. It is characterized by a warm atmosphere suitable for the year-end holiday.
