Are Girls' Generation Taeyeon and Kang Dong Won Dating? Here's The Situation
Rumors are circulating that Girls' Generation member Taeyeon and actor Kang Dong Won are romantically involved.
The rumors started due to a casual indirect conversation between the two celebrities. Both stars guested on a radio show, where they mentioned each other.
Most recently, Kang Dong Won appeared on an episode of MBC Radio FM4U's "Jung Hee of Hope Music Kim Shin Young" to promote his new film, "The Plot." During the show, comedian and MC Kim Shin Young mentioned that during Taeyeon's appearance, she was asked whether she would want to invite Kang Dong Won to her home or be invited to his. At the time, Taeyeon stated she would rather be invited to his home.

She stated that she would be too worried about inviting Kang Dong Won to her house, as she would have to clean it up. When asked what she would wear to his home, Taeyeon stated she would dress comfortably in baggy pants and a hoodie.
Kang Dong Won appeared amused by this and stated that though he preferred being invited to someone's house, he might be willing to invite Taeyeon to his home in the future.

The comment was light-hearted, sparking laughter and teasing from Kim Shin Young. She joked about supporting Taeyeon until she gets the chance to sit at Kang Don Won's special ten-person table.

Though the comments were made in a light-hearted, joking manner, it did not stop rumors of a romance blooming between them. TenAsia reported on the two's interaction, stating it might spark dating rumors. Just hours after the post was made, the article has been viewed over 140,000 times.
As of writing, neither SM Entertainment (Taeyeon's agency) nor AA Group (Kang Dong Won's agency) has commented on the situation.
Girls' Generation Taeyeon's Recent Activities
On November 27, 2023, Taeyeon dropped her fifth extended play, "To. X," alongside the lead single of the same name.
Both the mini-album and the lead single peaked at number two on the Circle Album Chart and Circle Digital Chart, respectively. "To. X" also climbed to the number three spot on the Billboard South Korea Songs and was named the best-performing single of January 2024 on the Circle Digital Chart.
