Min Hee Jin Garners Flak For Supposed Rude Messages About NewJeans: ‘These Girls…’

Supposed KakaTalk logs from Min Hee Jin to an acquaintance have been revealed and the ADOR CEO is drawing flak for her rude messages about NewJeans.

On May 17, 2024, entertainment news reporter and journalist Lee Jin Ho held a live stream to discuss the evidence both HYBE Labels and Min Hee Jin brought to the table for their first court date. Among the pieces of evidence mentioned, one chat log stood out among others.

The message was from Min Hee Jin to an acquaintance, and they were talking about ADOR's only artist, NewJeans. The messages caused a stir online, as during the press conference, Min Hee Jin claimed she treats NewJeans as if they are her own daughters. She recalled several instances of injustice for NewJeans and how it hurt her heart to witness such an event.

However, these messages ring a different tone.

In the messages, she tells her friend, "This is why I don't want to work with girls. These girls don't know how to work, they just keep complaining and it's tiring."

Min Hee Jin further shocked netizens by saying, "Even though I am a girl, I hate girls." She also claimed, "If I ask these girls to do the work that I do, they won't be able to do it even if I die."

This is not the only time Min Hee Jin was accused of being rude to NewJeans during the trial. HYBE Labels claimed that Min Hee Jin gaslighted NewJeans with the goal of making them subordinate to her. She would reportedly script what the girls would say in an interview, making NewJeans have a passive role as artists.

HYBE also claimed that Min Hee Jin told an associate that it was "hard to treat the NewJeans members as artists." The messages also have Min Hee Jin stating, "It's terrible to put up with them and support them."

Some messages also had Min Hee Jin discrediting NewJeans's involvement in their success, saying, "NewJeans success is because of me, not the NewJeans members." She also claims that if it weren't for her, the members of NewJeans would have never debuted.

Reactions to the messages were wild, with a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) going viral about the situation. Many wondered how the NewJeans members would feel after seeing this, as Min Hee Jin publicly revealed that the girls told her they were on her side.
