Reporters Select THIS Jennie's Outfit As The 'Worst': 'It's Burdensome To See It'

In an article, five Korean media reporters had chosen BLACKPINK Jennie as the "worst" fashion following her appearance in THIS 'fit.

On July 7, the K-media outlet YTN released its weekly "Fashion Ranking" where entertainment reports select "Best," "So-So," and "Worst" outfits. 

For the first week of the month, the media then regretted that only "worst" fashion filled the rankings, and among them, the first one to be mentioned was BLACKPINK Jennie. 

Earlier on July 3, Jennie made its appearance at Chanel's Coco Crush launch event where she held a mini photo-op before heading inside the pop-up store. 

At the time, the luxury brand's global ambassador drew high praise for her unconventional attire, wearing a black bra top as inner cloth topped with a sheer mini dress. She then completed the look with mesh stockings and a black micro-bag from Chanel. 

However, Jennie stands out even more with the eye-catching Premieré watch necklace, which is a watch with a long chain that could be used as a necklace. She also matched the overall look of her hairstyle by creating long braids and wearing nose piercings.

Despite this iconic look, YTN reporters weren't significantly impressed, with Reporter Gong Yeong Ju saying:

"This black see-through look is too much."

Reporter Kim Sung Hyun agreed with Gong and explained:

"In fashion, there is something that you call TPO. It means that you should wear clothes that fit the time, place, and occasion. 

Of course, there are instances where fashion can break this rigid TPO, but it seems to be not the case for Jennie's latest outfit. 

Everything from the hairstyle to the excessive sheer style and accessories is 'too much."

Meanwhile, reporters Kang Nae Ri, Kwang Hyu Soo, and Choi Boran all agreed that while Jennie rocked the unconventional look because she's Jennie of BLACKPINK, a global star with impeccable fashion sense, her look is "not giving."

"It is definitely a distracting look. It would have been better if she had just given up  at least one thing, whether it be the logo-printed  stockings or the long braided hairstyle." (Kang)

"The combination of the black see-through look that reveals her shoulder line and the stockings is crossing the line. It seems like Dyanne from 'The Idol' came out of the drama. I wish she would go back in." (Kwak)

"The bold sheer one-piece dress with mesh stockings gives a somewhat distracting feel. It is an outfit that aims to be daring, but it is burdensome to see it at an official event." (Choi)
