Waterbomb Star Kwon Eunbi Faces Backlash Over Revealing Outfit: Agency Steps In

Goyang, Gyeonggi-do - Kwon Eunbi, renowned for her captivating performances, once again took center stage at Waterbomb Seoul 2024 held at KINTEX Outdoor Global Stage on July 6th.

Known for her previous title as the "Waterbomb Goddess," anticipation was high for her appearance this year.

Last year, Kwon Eunbi made headlines with her bikini fashion, setting a trend that fans eagerly awaited this year.

However, her choice of attire-a white top paired with a blue bikini-has sparked a flurry of opinions among netizens.

The Waterbomb festival's playful water-centric theme seemed to clash with the expectations of some, leading to divided reactions online.

Such discussions escalated beyond mere fashion critique when Woollim Entertainment, Kwon Eunbi's agency, addressed severe online misconduct and defamation against the artist.

A statement from Woollim Entertainment on July 5th revealed the grim reality faced by Kwon Eunbi offstage.

"After collecting numerous reports about criminal acts, such as indiscriminate defamation, sexual harassment, the spread of false information, slander and malicious postings editing the artist's face into obscene pictures and distributing such inappropriate content, we already filed the first complaint and the police are investigating. Based on the collected evidence, we will take strong legal action without leniency for criminal acts, such as insults, under the Criminal Act and violations of the Information and Communication Network Act."

Amidst the controversy, fans have rallied around Kwon Eunbi, praising her performance and defending her choice of attire as fitting for the festive atmosphere of Waterbomb Seoul 2024.

"This outfit perfectly captures the spirit of summer and the event," remarked a supportive fan, highlighting the positive reception amidst the ongoing legal battles.
