Chris Brown New Album Delayed Again: Duet With Rihanna Axed Due To Split, Despite Record Management's Money Bribes

Chris Brown's troubles never seems to cease, this time due to his upcoming album, "X," possibly being delayed again because the singer wants a duet he made with ex-girlfriend Rihanna off the record, against management's wishes.

The 24-year-old has criticized his management team before on Twitter, talking about the delay in releasing the album, which is currently slated for July 16.

"My management is so incompetent at times that they don't communicate," he tweeted.

Despite such claims, it seems Brown is now stalling the release, since his recent split from Rihanna has caused the singer to have a change of heart on their duet which was made for "X."

"Record execs wanted that song on there, but Chris said he would rather not and wouldn't allow the record to be released unless they took it off," a source tells Hollywood Life.

"The record hasn't been pressed yet, so things can change, but at this point he's not changing his mind."

The label even allegedly offered more money to the "Kiss, Kiss" singer, but so far he is not biting.

"They're still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit," says the same source.

This is a different tune compared to three months ago, when Brown said that the Barbadian singer would definitely "be on [his] album."

"She's beautiful. She's on tour and our schedules don't allow us to be as close as we want to be. But everything is good," he said to USA Today in March.

And while Rihanna may be good, it's not because of him as much as her Diamonds world tour and her platinum-selling album.
