Drew Brees Accident Hoax: Rumors Of Breaking Legs In A Car Accident Are Untrue As Told By Brees Himself

A Drew Brees accident hoax has put the internet in a fury as a rumored report surfaced that the New Orleans Saints quarterback broke his legs in a car accident this week.

One of the rumors for the Drew Brees accident hoax was that he was paralyzed by the car wreck that left him in critical condition.

The Drew Brees accident hoax went viral through Twitter and Facebook as rumors swirled, until Brees himself had to tweet out what was really going on.

"I am fine. Not sure where the car accident story came from. It is not true. I appreciate everyone's concern but I am ALL GOOD!" Brees tweeted Saturday in response to the rumors.

With Sean Payton coming back as the head coach of the Saints, losing Brees would have been a vital loss in the Saints effort to get back to the playoffs. New Orleans failed to make the postseason a year ago with its head coach, but in the prior three seasons, all with Payton and Brees, the Saints were 4-2 in the playoffs. In the 2009-2010 season, the Saints hoisted the Lombardy trophy as New Orleans won the Super Bowl against Payton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.

The Saints finished 7-9 last season and Brees was selected to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for Robert Griffin III. Brees threw for 4,000 yards for the seventh year in a row, which is an NFL-record.
