Ellen Page And Ashley Johnson Caught In 'Last Of Us', 'Beyond: Two Souls' Controversy [VIDEO]: Ellie's Likeness Despite Redesign Was 'Not Appreciated'

Ellen Page finally voiced her opinion on the likeness between herself and "The Last of Us" character Ellie, and it seems tension between Naughty Dog's recent release and "Beyond: Two Souls" has not made her job easy.

"I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness," said the 26-year-old actress during a Reddit Ask Me Anything chat, according to IGN.

"But I am actually acting in a video game called 'Beyond: Two Souls', so it was not appreciated."

While Naughty claimed the resemblance to be a "complete coincidence," the studio announced they would redesign Ellie to better fit the likeness of her voice actor, Ashley Johnson, following the announcement of Page's involvement in "Beyond: Two Souls" last year.

"We hear what people are saying...we didn't realize that ourselves, because we just try to push for the characters that we want. And when we see the reactions we're like, OK, we don't like that," said "The Last of Us" game director Bruce Straley.

"We want our characters to stand on their own two feet."

But the redesign didn't help distance Page from the PS3 exclusive, as gamers continue to think she did work on the motion capture, and not Johnson.

Meanwhile, "Beyond: Two Souls," another Sony exclusive, is set to release October 9 in North America and October 11 in Europe, according to PlayStation Universe.

Page will star alongside Willem Dafoe, Kadeem Hardison, and Eric Winter in the video game.
