Jodi Arias Death Penalty Trial Video: Brutal Ex-Boyfriend Killer Tweets From Jail, Ready to Make a Deal To Save Her Life? (Video)

Jodi Arias death penalty trial went back to court for the first time since the hung jury. Jodi Arias tweets from jail that she may be open to a plea deal to save herself from the death penalty trial sentence.

Hours before the movie, “Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret,” was broadcast on Lifetime, convicted killer Jodi Arias tweeted from jail that she is open to the suggestion of making a plea deal rather than appealing her murder conviction to avoid the death penalty in the grisly death of Travis Alexander.

On Saturday night, Jodi Arias tweeted from jail, "Just don't know yet if I will plea or appeal."

The tweet was one of two that Jodi Arias’ friends sent out for her. Jodi Arias’ friends also tweeted warnings to supporters who want to offer assistance: "Let's clear up any confusion. Anyone asking 4 donation$ right now on my behalf 4 my appeals is not legit."

Jodi Arias tweets made it clear that she is not currently accepting donation for appeals. The 32-year-old former waitress may accept a life prison term instead of the death penalty in exchange for a promise that she won’t appeal her conviction.

In late May, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said the defense has "ethical obligation" to consider a plea deal if one is offered.

Jodi Arias was convicted in May of the grisly 2007 murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. Alexander was stabbed 29 times, his throat was slashed and he was shot in the head. Arias originally claimed that an intruder killed Alexander, and then changed her story to self-defense. The Jodi Arias trial hypnotized the nation as it played out amidst steamy sex tapes and testimony. A hung jury could not decide whether to sentence Arias to death.

The court ordered that a new jury would be selected do decide the penalty phase of her trial on July 18. Jodi Arias’ lawyers asked that the trial be delayed until January.

If a second jury is also unable to reach agreement on whether to put Arias to death, it will be up to the judge whether Arias gets a life sentence, with or without the possibility of parole.
