2013 NBA Draft Sleepers Who Teams Will Regret Missing

The 2013 NBA Draft is considered one of the weakest in recent memory with no clear-cut number one choice. Here are 5 players who will fly under the radar until they impress on the court.

Every year, more and more scouting and analysis goes into selecting those players who have the highest upside and they most talent from the incoming crop of college and international prospects.

Often, there are one or two who either surprise teams in their rookie years with wonderful play, or disappoint and fail to show the promise that led to their being selected at all.

Here are our 2013 NBA Draft sleepers"

5) Ben McLamore

The 6'5" guard from Kansas is on most everyone's top 5 list in various mock drafts around the web. A lot of teams who worked him out have been leery of him, but he's got the best talent in the draft, and even if he falls out of the top 5, don't be surprised if he ends up winning the Rookie of the Year award, depending on where he lands.

4) Shabazz Muhammad

Like McLamore, Muhammad is a "name" player, coming from a school, UCLA, that's had it's fair share of named players. But he's an undersized small forward, with a 3-point shot that still needs work, and who used his physicality to abuse players near paint in college. That's why everyone is down on him entering the draft, and he may fall out of being a lottery pick. That would be a mistake.

3) Nate Wolters

The South Dakota State guard was instrumental in his team making the NCAA tournament during his last two seasons on campus. But the 6'4" guard might not possess the lateral quickness to stay in front of NBA guards. What he does have is a toughness and offensive skills to possibly exceed expectations at the next level. He's an excellent shooter and the one of the premier mid-major players in the country. Watch out for him.

2) Ricky Ledo

The "great unknown known" as SB Nation called him. The 6'6" 200 lbs. 20-year-old did not play at Providence last year after sitting out the season due to being academically ineligible. Most prognosticators have him going late in the first round, but we think he'll surprise everyone and turn into a standout in the pro game. The off-the-court issues are overblown, and he'll dazzle in his rookie campaign.

1) Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

The Georgia shooting guard filled up the stat sheet and lead his Bulldogs in points, rebounds, steals, and free throw attempts, which means he's aggressive. Caldwell-Pope also didn't have much around him at Georgia, with none of his teammates averaging more than 8 PPG, while he averaged 18.5 on just a shade under 44 percent shooting. Most mock drafts have him at the number 9 choice, heading to Minnesota, and the Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love will love playing with his former Bulldog.
