Kanye West Loves Kim Kardashian But Not Fond Of Mother-In-Law Kris Jenner? Interview Reveals Their Tense Relationship

Kanye West's relationship with Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner is revealed in an interview in W magazine, conducted in Paris before the birth of his baby girl North.

In the article, writer Christopher Bagley witnesses an awkward encounter between Kanye and Kris that gives insight to their relationship.

USA Today reports that at one point in the interview, Kris Jenner stopped by West's Paris apartment. He played her some of his unfinished songs, including "Awesome," which is about Kim.

After listening to the songs, Jenner said, "Great job."

An irritated Kanye, who obviously was not happy that Jenner did not seem impressed, responded by mocking his mother-in-law.

"Great job?" he said. He lifted his Champagne glass and said, "Great job, Baccarat, for making a glass that can hold liquid!" He looked down at his waist, "Great job, belt loops, for keeping my pants up!"

Jenner laughed, but then left very soon after. "I love you. You know where to find us, at the George V. Call us tomorrow, if you want," she said to Kanye.

"It seems apparent to everyone, including Jenner, that West will not call," Bagley wrote.

Perhaps their tense relationship is due to the lack of time they have spent together. Last month, Bruce Jenner told Extra that West was not around throughout Kim's pregnancy. "I have only met him once," Bruce said, The Huffington Post reports. "[H]e's not around. He was in Paris the whole time writing, and he just hasn't been around."

West and the Jenners will have plenty of time to bond. Kanye and Kim are moving into the Jenner mansion while their own house is being renovated.

In the W magazine interview, Kanye professes his deep love for girlfriend and baby mama Kim. When Bagley asks him how he feels about moving into the Jenner house and appearing on the reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Kanye said: "Oh, that's just all for love. It's simply that. At a certain point, or always, love is more important than any branding, or any set of cool people, or attempting to impress anyone. Because true love is just the way you feel." He adds, "Thoughts and feelings can disagree sometimes."
