Celebrities Are Ecstatic Over United States Supreme Court Ruling To End the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), Striking Down Anti-Gay Laws, Kristen Bell Asks Dax Shepard to Marry Her Today

Hollywood celebrities are ecstatic and tweeting all day about the United States Supreme Court ruling today which ends the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and strikes down anti-gay laws in the U.S.

As a matter of fact, actress, Kristen Bell and actor, Dax Shepard are engaged...again.

In celebration of Wednesday's historic Supreme Court ruling shooting down the Defense of Marriage Act, the "Veronica Mars" actress, 32, re-proposed to her fiancé of four years.

"You're damn right DOMA is unconstitutional!" Bell tweeted. "[Dax Shepard] will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove."

Shepard was only too happy to oblige.

"F--k Yes!!!!!!!!!!!" the "Parenthood" actor, 38, tweeted.

"DOMA is dead. Prop 8 is dead. Now let's bring my big, gay marriage to [Kristen Bell] to Life!!!!" Shepard continued.

Bell and Shepard, who welcomed their first daughter, Lincoln, in March, have been vocal about their support of gay marriage.

In 2012, Bell explained that she and Shepard were waiting to walk down the aisle until marriage was legalized for same-sex couples.

"I don't believe in standing in the way of love, and I want to stand up for that right," Bell told CNN.

"We're not going to have a party when half of our friends...can't do that thing we're doing," Shepard added. "We're not going to ask them to come celebrate a right they don't have. That's just tacky!"

Bell and Shepard aren't the only celebrities celebrating the news. Ellen Degeneres also announced how happy she was about the ruling.

"It's a supremely wonderful day for equality," the talk show host, who has been married to actress Portia de Rossi since 2008, tweeted.
