Install Official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update To AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 For Major Overhaul Of User Interface

Owners of AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 model can now install official Android 4.1.2 firmware update.

According to a report from Android Geeks, AT&T and Samsung released earlier today, June 27, the latest official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the 10.1 LTE model of the Galaxy Tab 2. Those with Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 can check their device and determine if the official Android 4.1.2 is already available either through Samsung KIES or as an OTA update.

Because the latest firmware is a major release from Google and Samsung, installing the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will bring huge changes to the operating system of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 device. Android Geeks noted that the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update offers new features and significant enhancements to the tablet. The report says, "this device has been launched last November with the Android 4.0 ICS operating system, and this is the first time that it will get a major overhaul of its interface."

Nexus 7 received the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update a year ago but AT&T and Samsung decided only now that it is time for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 model to get the 'old' update for the OS. For those who do not know how to install official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean UCUAMF2 update, follow the following step using Samsung KIES: (Make sure first that the device is already on Android 4.0 before starting the update.)

1.       Connect the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to computer.

2.       Launch the Samsung KIES software.

3.       Confirm on-screen instructions to continue with the update.

For those who will use the OTA Update to install official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware, it is recommended to use Wi-fi connection.
