'The Last Of Us' News: Naughty Dog To Remove Phone Numbers Of Sex Hotlines Posted In A Virtual Bulletin Board Within The Game

A recent "The Last of Us" news or shall we say controversy emerged, as apparently, there are two real-world phone-sex hotline numbers spotted within Naughty Dog's latest game.

To answer this fresh "The Last of Us" news, Naught Dog promised that it will remove the two phone numbers shown in a bulletin board within the game, GameSpot reported. According to the report, one of the readers from Kotaku tipped the website and posted a photo, depicting an advertisement poster at the virtual Pittsburgh which has two phone numbers in it for "Pest Control." However, the numbers are actually not Easter eggs, but "rather real-world phone-sex hotlines."

Neil Druckmann, the creative director of the game made a statement regarding this recent "The Last of Us" news, saying that it was just an honest mistake and they are now working to remove it. He said, "That was an artist's mistake. What happened was, they put some phone numbers in the game and then they thought they could just change the area code to 555, then it's invalid because it's what they do in movies. But I guess that doesn't work when you have a 1-800 in front of it."

The Last of Us is an exclusive game for Sony PlayStation 3. The post-apocalyptic survival game is still receiving good praises and strong reviews for its excellent gameplay, story and graphic performance. Naughty Dog's newest game was released earlier this month and since then, more "The Last of Us" news have come up such as Ellen Page accusing the developer of "ripping off" her appearace and her likeness for the  deuteragonist character of the game named Ellie.

Also, another "The Last of Us" news came out about an artist who "lashed out the developer for reportedly using his redesigned MBTA map in The Last of Us without compensating him", as noted in the report from GameSpot.
