Missing Missoni Plane Found Thursday: Six Months Later, Plane Of Fashion Director Vittorio Missoni, His Wife And Others Bodies Not Inside

Missing Missoni plane found Thursday off the Venezuelan coast, nearly six months after the plane went missing.

The missing Missoni plane found was announced by the country's Interior Ministry on Thursday. On the plane was the Italian fashion boss Vittorio Missoni and five others. Nobody was found on the plane, according to the Interior Ministry.

"The families would like to thank the Venezuelan and Italian governments for its commitments in finding the wreckage and the family is confident that the investigation into the cause of the incident."

The plane was located off the coast of Key Carenero, within the Los Roques archipelago, according to a family statement published by Italy's ANSA news agency.

Vittorio Missoni, 58, was the fashion director for Missoni, which is a fashion house that Missoni himself ran with his siblings, Luca and Angela. The company makes up to $100 million in annual sales and the clients for the company in Milan, Italy include Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie.
