Grand Theft Auto 5 Lowers Special Edition Price Before Release [VIDEO]: 3 Million Copies Pre-Ordered For UK, Will GTA 5 Break Records?

With Rockstar Games ready to release Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, UK fans might be able to snag a discount on the Special Edition version if they hurry.

According to Video Gamer, a pre-order is currently up by Game with a listing price of £59.99, but HotUKDeals is suggesting that if customers enter the code 'GTAFIVER' before checking out by tomorrow, June 29, a further £5 will be taken off.

The Special Edition of GTA 5 will reportedly include a collectible steelbox with exclusive artwork, a map of Los Santos, and game bonuses like new outfits, aerial challenges and special abilities for the three playable characters.

"The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world ever created, Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game's three lead characters, playing all sides of the game's interwoven story," states the game's official website.

Currently, the title is expected to have record-breaking sales in the UK, as 3 million copies have been ordered by retailers for day one alone. Compared to the 630,000 copies sold in the first 24 hours for Grand Theft Auto 4, this is an ambitious prediction.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is slated to hit shelves September 17.
