Avril Lavigne & Chad Kroeger Not Married Yet; Will Tie the Knot Tomorrow

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger haven’t gotten married yet, in spite of reports yesterday that two tied the knot in the South of France. According to a Us Weekly source, the rockers are "technically not married yet." The actual ceremony will take place on Monday.

The press jumped the gun on reports that Avril Lavigne and fiance Chad Kroeger got married on Saturday in the South of France. They were just throwing a pre-wedding party.

A souce told Us Weekly that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger threw a party in Cannes, France on Saturday to celebrate their impending wedding. Avril Lavigne and Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger got engaged after they met while they were working on Avril Lavigne’s new album in August.

Last month Avril Lavigne told told Kit Hoover and Billy Bush of Access Hollywood Live that "He proposed in the studio -- that's where we met, in the studio where we made my record at." She said that two singers, who are both Canadian, started out as friends but soon became more. "We were working together having a good time, bro-ing out. We started off as friends goofing around and then turned into something else."

Chad who proposed to the self-proclaimed punk princess with a 14-carat ring.

Avril said "I had said I want to date someone 10 years older than me and he's exactly 10 years older. He's got it together, he's mature, he's done this thing, he's lived life. He's been around the world on tour,
I've been around the world on tour. We can really relate over a lot of things and we really just bonded over music and songwriting."
