Actor Jim Kelly Dies From Cancer: 67-Year-Old Remembered For Most Notable Role In "Enter The Dragon" With Bruce Lee [VIDEO]

Actor Jim Kelly dies from a lost battle with cancer at his home in San Diego Saturday.

Marilyn Dishman Kelly revealed the news that her ex-husband actor Jim Kelly dies at the age of 67.

Kelly's biggest role was alongside Bruce Lee in the film "Enter the Dragon" in 1973. The film was among his dozen during the 1970s before his roles decreased, according to the Associated Press.

"It was one of the best experiences in my life," he told salon.com of working on "Enter the Dragon." ''Bruce was just incredible, absolutely fantastic. I learned so much from working with him. I probably enjoyed working with Bruce more than anyone else I'd ever worked with in movies because we were both martial artists. And he was a great, great martial artist. It was very good."

Kelly was a martial artist, which was a skill he showed off in his movie roles. Famous boxer Joe Louis trained inside the same martial arts arena that Kelly trained in. In 1971, he won the middleweight title at the 1971 Long Beach International Karate Championships in Long Beach and then opened up his own dojo.

He was a professional tennis player on the USTA Senior Men's Circuit after his acting career dwindled.
