Jang Jae In to Hold Duet
Expectations High for Collaboration with American Rachael Yamagata
“Super Star K2’s” Jang Jae In is set to hold a duet performance with American singer/songwriter Rachael Yamagata, according to local news agencies.
Rachael Yamagata’s tour will make a South Korean stop on February 26 at the Blue Square. Jang Jae In will appear as the opening act and special guest for some duet performances, and her strong husky voice and personality is expected to make good harmony with the folk style of Rachael Yamagata.
This is just the beginning of collaborations between Jang Jae In and American artists. In 2011 Jang Jae In opened for Mary J. Blige at her concert in Seoul, and many more collaborations are expected to follow.
Rachael Yamagata debuted in 2004 with her album “Happenstance,” and has since collaborated with other well-known musicians like Jason Mraz, Rhett Miller, Ray LaMontagne and Mandy Moore, among others.
