Canada Day 2013 Celebrated Across America By Celebrities, Including Carly Rae Jepsen, Justin Bieber, and Avril Lavigne

Canada Day 2013 is on July 1st, and many A-list Hollywood celebrities who call the country home will celebrate across America and Canada. Carly Rae Jepsen will perform on Parliament Hill, and other actors and singers will probably celebrate from their new homes in the United States.

July 1 is the day the first three colonies of Canada united as a country and when it became an independent nation from the United Kingdom, Celebuzz! reports. For Canadians, Canada Day is similar to the United States' Fourth of July. Canadians will barbecue, drink, and set off fireworks, just like Americans do on the 4th, but instead of red, white, and blue colors decorating the outdoor picnics, Canada is covered in just red and white.

"Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen is one of a few performers to usher in the country's 146th birthday, CBC News reports. The young Canadian will sing with indie rock band Metric in Ottawa, where more than 350,000 Canadians are expected to flock to Parliament Hill for Canada Day festivities Monday.

Here are a few other famous stars, via Celebuzz!, in the United States that also call Canada home, and are probably celebrating the holiday:
