Paris Jackson Misses Cirque Du Soleil ‘Michael Jackson ONE’ Premiere But Family Attends And Assures On Twitter ‘She Is Strong Like Her Father’

Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael Jackson, was noticeably missing from the premiere of the new Cirque du Soleil show "Michael Jackson ONE," a tribute to the late King of Pop's life and work.

The premiere was sold-out, and several of the Jackson family was present at the Las Vegas show. Family matriarch Katherine Jackson arrived with Michael Jackson's sons Prince Michael Jackson and Blanket Jackson, The NY Daily News reports. Michael Jackson's older brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie Jackson also came to the event.

"'ONE' is all about the music," Marlon Jackson said. "This is part of giving back and sharing his legacy."

The Jackson family must have enjoyed being able to appreciate Michael's work after a dramatic week of courtroom testimony surrounding Michael Jackson's final days, The Washington Post reports.

Cirque president Daniel Lamarre explained the importance of "ONE" to Michael Jackson fans: "people are going to dive into the universe of Michael Jackson," he said.

But Michael Jackson's 15-year-old daughter Paris skipped the performance. She is still in the hospital after attempting suicide in early June. According to USA Today, she hurt herself with a knife and took as many as 20 ibuprofen pills.

"She's going to be OK," Jackie Jackson said about Paris. "She's getting better. She should be out soon."

"We love her," Marlon told E! reporters. "After all that she's gone through, losing a father... that's hard on a youngster. So she's staying strong."

On Saturday, the teenager's mother Debbie Rowe also tweeted an update to her followers.

"My daughter has asked that I extend a huge thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers and support," she wrote. "She is strong like her father."

According to The Washington Post, Saturday's world premiere attracted celebrities like musician Justin Bieber, and actors like Neil Patrick Harris, Allison Janney and Alfre Woodard.

The second Cirque du Soleil show about Michael Jackson comes four years after his death in 2009.
