Gabrielle Union Being Mary Jane with Dwayne Wade at 2013 BET Awards [VIDEO], Gabrielle Union doesn't Like Mean Girls

Gabrielle Union, Being Mary Jane actress, with her boyfriend Dwayne Wade Miami Heat basketball star, appeared at the 2013 BET Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (June 30) in Los Angeles .   Gabrielle Union hit the red carpet in a stunning fitted red dress that showed off her fabulous curves. This was Gabrielle Union's most recent public appearance after Dwayne Wade's Miami Heat NBA championship win, which she enjoyed celebrating with her boyfriend and pals Drake and Lenny Kravitz.

Gabrielle Union is an actress on the show Being Mary Jane, playing a single career woman who has not yet found love.  The actress told Access Hollywood, "For a lot of us of a certain age, it's our life."

Gabrielle lost the lead role in Scandal to Kerry Washington, but isn't letting that setback get in her way, crediting Washington with inspiring her Being Mary Jane performance: "Kerry does such an amazing job. She set the standard so high," she said. "I got this opportunity and now I wanna run with it. But it's because of Kerry."

The actress also made waves recently when speaking with Oprah Winfrey on the show Oprah's Next Chapter, on the OWN network.  Gabrielle was on a panel with fellow actresses Viola Davis, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia Rashad.

Union took the public to task for their celebrity bashing behavior, saying, "If you ever made a comment about Kim Kardashian during her difficult time and her pregnancy, you're a mean girl."  The actress criticized "how we choose to communicate through insults and negative imaging and put downs and reveling in gossip or just finding comfort in someone else's misery."
