Miley Cyrus Twitter: Liam Hemsworth Lover Hated By 68 Percent Of Parents? Recent Survey Ranks Top Bad Female Role Models

A recent online survey revealed 68 percent of parents think Miley Cyrus is a bad role model for their children, the Deseret News reports.

The study polled 2,407 parents - making Miley Cyrus the top female vote getter in a field of controversial celebrities that included Lindsay Lohan (65 percent) and Kim Kardashian (63 percent), the Deseret News also reports.

Controversy has surrounded Liam Hemsworth's lover and fiancée over her recent behavior in music videos, performances, concerts and photos.

Miley Cyrus made headlines recently after wearing the scant dress worn in the 1980s film "Pretty Woman" starring Julia Roberts in her role as a prostitute. This was shortly after the "We Can't Stop" star tweeted revealing pictures of herself wearing tiny shorts and "twerking," revealing her behind.

"This is a danger inherent in allowing our children to get caught up in the lives of stars their age, or a little older," wrote Naomi Schaefer Riley in a New York Post column.

"Watching them 'grow up' gives us a false sense of familiarity with them. Oh, they like to hang out with their friends and try on clothes and act goofy. Just like our kids. Miley would never do something outrageous, we tell ourselves. As if we have any idea who this person really is."

Riley subsequently suggested that parents could instead focus their kids' adoration on heroes who are "dead (or) fictional," in order to avoid encouraging children to idolize celebrities like Cyrus who may later descend into patterns of undesirable behavior, the Deseret News also reports.
