American Idol Judges Turmoil: Former Idols Rumored To Judge 2014 Season, Will Ruben Studdard Become The Next Randy Jackson?

With "American Idol" regrouping to find the new set of judges following Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey's formal exits, is Ruben Studdard joining "The Biggest Loser" to compete for a spot at the judging panel?

Recently, rumors have been swirling that season 14 will be the first season an "American Idol" alum will judge the new crop of auditioning talents.

According to RealityTVWorld, the list of potential and rumored candidates includes Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert, and Clay Aiken.

Out of all the names, Hudson has been the most prominently named former contestant to become a judge, with Wet Paint reporting that the 31-year-old is currently house-hunting in L.A. in time for her new gig.

"I believe in getting people together, testing their chemistry which is what I did with Randy, Simon and Paula. After that whoever you bring in is a risk because we've seen it happen before," chimes in recently ired executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.

"It's one of those things, you don't know how anybody's going to be as a judge. You could be the greatest singer in the world that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be a good judge."

But could we be seeing Ruben Studdard added to the short list?

The 34-year-old season 2 winner is reportedly joining "The Biggest Loser."

"On both sides of my family, I have a history of diabetes and high blood pressure and things of that nature. I just wanted to basically combat those issues at an early age. They've never been an issue for me, but I wanted to do it while I was still young and felt like working out and looking great."

Although "The Biggest Loser" season 15 is set to air in the fall, perhaps Studdard will get a seat at the table like Randy Jackson after he slims down.
