Farewell To Dexter As Season 8 Episodes 1 Signals The End [VIDEO]: Final Comic-Con Panel Starts Showtime Sendoff

Following the final season premiere of Showtime series "Dexter," the hit drama begins its sendoff with its final panel at the San Diego Comic-Con.

"You've been there for every edge of your seat moment, inside Dexter's most intimate thoughts, watching him transform before your eyes. Now, after eight amazing seasons, it's time to say goodbye," says an official Showtime statement.

"Join the cast, writers/executive producers and surprise guest stars, who are too big to mention, for a final Comic-Con farewell panel that even Hall H can't contain!"

As season 8 continues airing this summer, the panel will take place Thursday, July 18 at Hall H from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

According to Den of Geek, featured panelists include, but are not limited to "Dexter" star and executive producer Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar, and special guest star Yvonne Strahovski.

Hall H, reports IGN, is one of the convention's biggest rooms that seats over 6,000. Over the years, more and more TV shows like "Dexter," "The Walking Dead," and "Game of Thrones" have taken residence there.

The previous year, Comic-Con drew an estimated 130,000 visitors.

"Dexter" season 8 premiered on Showtime June 30, with the final episode of the series set to air September 22.
