4th Of July Fireworks NYC 2013: Usher, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift And Tim McGraw To Perform At Display

This year's 4th of July fireworks celebration in New York City will feature performances by Usher, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw, according to Brooklyn Vegan.

Usher is expected to lead the soundtrack and performances for the display.

"With every year comes a new level of excitement and newness that we try to weave into the live show," Amy Kule, executive producer of Macy's 4th of July Fireworks, told the New York Daily News.

"And this year, truly one of the most magnificent things we've ever done, is our first-time-ever collaboration with an outside artist on the soundtrack for the show, and it's none other than eight-time Grammy Award winner, Usher."

The Christian Post recently ranked the best fireworks displays in the country.

The website places Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks 2013 in NYC as the number one show, saying the spectacle will bring in 3,000,000 viewers to watch the live 25-minute show entitled "It Begins With A Spark" this year, in addition to millions more who will tune in on television.

The annual spectacle is expected to light up the city sky Thursday night as 40,000 shells are loaded onto four barges along the Hudson River, the Associated Press reports.

A happy face with a wink exploding over NYC as part of Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks 2013 will also be a part of the nation's biggest display, the Huffington Post writes.

The barges are to be set up on the river between Manhattan's West 24th and 42nd streets, with fireworks shooting about 1,000 feet into the air, the Huffington Post also writes.

The Christian Post ranked Washington, D.C.'s fireworks' show second, Atlantic City's in third, Philadelphia's in fourth and Boston's in fifth.
